A tray series conceived as a landscape of light transitioning from shallow waters to calm surfaces
When the contours of the re-pelletized particles remain, light fragments finely, creating a shimmer reminiscent of shallow waters near a beach. Conversely, when heated until the particles melt more smoothly together, the surface ripples calm down, transforming into an appearance like tranquil waters slightly offshore. This difference arises not only from heating time but also from variations in material, resulting in different views of transparency and light dispersion. SHOAL draws out expressions close to natural fluids from agglomerations of particles re-bound by heat.
